Camp Linley

Mission Statement: To provide a safe and unique wilderness environment for scouting and other organizations to fulfill their programs.

Description of existing facilities as of 2006

Camp Linley is located in the Chilliwack District, on Frost Rd. approximately 16 km South of Sardis Chilliwack Exit of Highway No.1. The site is approximately 4 hectares, including Watt Creek and many hiking and rock climbing opportunities. Stillwood Recreation and Conference Center, and BC Parks surround the Camp. The camp has eight rental facility areas, and common areas.

Common use areas include: The parking lot - Maximum-parking spaces 20, fire pit area (fire wood not always on hand), play ground, 2 outhouses with 3 stalls each (toilet paper required) - 1 wheelchair accessible.

 

Kiwanis Long House: A 30' x 60' building that will seat up to 80. Kitchen equipped to cook for total capacity. (Propane Stove - must supply own propane) Excellent for Indoor activities and Emergency Shelter. A large wood stove (firewood not always on hand) Provided - Mop & bucket, washable kitchen, broom, dust pans, push brooms, tables and chairs

 

4 Log Cabins, 1 A frame with Camping Area's: Log Cabins are 11' x 15' (sleeps - 8), A Frame 14'x17' (sleeps - 10). Camping Area's at each suitable for 3 - four man tents. A frame is also excellent for a First Aid / Leader Head Quarters.

 

6 Tenting Areas: Each area suitable for 6 - four man tents. All area are close to outhouse facilities and included a 4'x4' covered shelter for storage during rain.

 

We do not supply : WATER, TELEPHONE (some cell phones may work) dish towels (air drying is recommended), bleach (to sanitize dishes), table covers (recommended for crafts & eating) , food storage containers or means of taking leftovers way, cooking oil (Canola is safest), dishes for eating, RV hook-ups, flags, mattresses, bedding, or transportation of goods to site.

Booking applications accepted in the following order:

  1. Fraser Valley Council uses (training, events, and meetings) to be reserved by May 31st for the period up to August 31 of the following year.
  2. Fraser Valley Council Area uses (training, events, and meetings) to be reserved by May 31st for the period up to August 31 of the following year.
  3. Fraser Cheam Groups may place reservations after June 1st for the period up to August 31st of the following year.
  4. Scouting Groups (non Fraser Cheam Area) and Girl Guides may apply after July 1st for the period up to August 31st of the following year.
  5. Those not included in the previously listed qualifications may apply after Sept 1st for the period up to August 31 of the following year.
