There is an annual Founder's Day (Baden Powell) dinner being held at Camp Whonnock on February 28th 2016. This is a popular event operated by the 31st Alouette Baden Powell Guild and always sells out each year. Tickets go fast and funds raised go to help with youth programs in the Three Rivers Area, including Rally Day, Night Hike, Camps, etc. Info on the 3RA site at:

Another super successful Cub Skills Camp with over 300 Cubs and Scouters, parents and Offers of Service taking in the beautiful weather at the large venue of Centennial Beach, Boundary Bay Park.

Cubs rotated through 12 fantastic stations that included No Trace Fire, Water Safety, Focus Flex, PJ and WJ Jamboree, Knife Safety, Knots, Scouts Own, SAR (Search & Rescue), Simple Shelters, T-Shirt Silk Screening, Rope Making, Woggle Making and First Aid.

TV presenters Sakis and George from the Greek travel show "World Party" were also on hand to help out and enjoy the activities along side the Cubs. See you next year in November, date to be confirmed shortly.

Camp McLean – October 2nd , 3rd & 4th

THIS YEAR’s Camp Kick-Off will be another fun filled adventure for all!

Third year Scouts will be participating in a C. The Basic Scouting Skills Program will be on Saturday and will enable 1st year Scouts to earn their permits. There are still many exciting events for the Activity Scouts to choose from on Saturday and Sunday. Lunch will be provided on Saturday. There will be activities for all participants on Saturday evening.

  • This year 3rd year camp is at Gold Creek Golden Ears Park.
  • Meeting at parking lot at 5:15 ready to hike at 5:30.
  • Late comers please arrange ahead of time with Brent
  • Cost to be $10.00 for those participating in the Leave No Trace
  • and $5.00 for those not participating. To cover cost of badges
  • Kick-off and Leave No Trace for leaders, staff, and youths.

IT’S THAT TIME of year again when Group and Section teams are working at putting together great programming for the upcoming year. DON’T FORGET to put JOTT on the list of must do. For many of our youth it is the one World Scouting Event that they get to do and Coho Area Scouting with the help of the Baden-Powell Guild is a large part of it!
